Women’s hockey starts today

QUETTA, Sept 21: The 20th National Women’s Hockey Championship will commence in Quetta from Monday.

Twelve women hockey teams from all over the country have arrived in Quetta to participate in the National Championship and first match will be played between Quetta and Sukkur.

The President Pakistan Woman Hockey Federation, (PWHF) Shahida Jamail announced this while speaking at a press conference on Sunday.

She said that PWHF wanted to hold National Woman Hockey Championship earlier, but due to various reasons it was delayed.

She said that Federation has written invitation letters to all divisional woman Hockey Association and different departments who have their teams for participating in the National event.

However, she said that so far 12 teams including defending Champion Pakistan Railways have confirmed their participation in the National Hockey Championship.
