SIALKOT: Around 650 families of Afghan nationals have been repatriated to Afghanistan from Sialkot region, claimed the district coordination officer (DCO) on Tuesday.
Talking to the media here on Tuesday, DCO Nadeem Sarwar claimed the Afghan families had been living illegally here for long and they could not produce any legal document during checking.
RAIN: Sialkot region received heavy rain on Tuesday, inundating low-lying urban and rural areas in all four tehsils of the district.
Dark clouds hovered over the city with a loud thunder all day. Cold winds coming from neighbouring held Kashmir continuously kept the weather pleasant.
The Met office has forecast heavy rains in the region and its neighbouring areas during the next 24 hours.
