Misbah-ul-Haq is looking for a confidence-boosting performance from his team but most of all a first victory of the campaign when Pakistan take on Zimbabwe in their third World Cup match on Sunday. Comprehensive defeats at the hands of India and West Indies in their opening two matches have left the 1992 champions rock bottom of Pool B. Both teams underwent intense training at the Gabba on Saturday to prepare for the clash.

@Muhammad Umair
Remember that Zimbabwe is ranked at the bottom, both in Test and ODI. Why tomorrow's match should be of much concern to Pakistani side ? They should win it easily. They should be more concerned about their encounter with South Africa.

@ziavrep labqi Pakistan should not take Zimbabwe for granted, never underestimate the minnows like Zimbabwe ,Ireland in this group because we have seen there performance so far, they are no more minnows. Pakistan have to play fighting cricket, not only they have to win they have to make sure and concentrate on improving the net runrate as well.

I fail to understand, how can one be so sure! "Pakistan's bowling coach Mushtaq Ahmed and head coach Waqar Younis discuss strategy. — AFP" - Maybe, they are discussing their future ;)

@ziavrep labqi I agree. Pakistan is not concerned about what is important and what is not. Rather than worry about big matches like India and West Indies, they are concerned about Zimbabwe since winning against such a team is not a problem but game changing has happend as we saw Afghanistan beat a team that could never be beaten so easily, Scotland. If a match is there to psyche them then fine, take Zimbabwe as a lesson to reverberate, otherwise if this match is lost, its a mind breaker. South Africa is another team like India and West Indies, Pakistan should be concerned about.

If this is Pakistani team's worth that they can't be sure of a win against Zimbabwe, the earlier they pack up the better.

@Zafar Ahmed To be frank he is the best and Misbah know he is threat to him. Due to this attitude of he couldnot able to build good combination and team, he needed all rubbish player without talent to just prove that he is better then other lot of garbage players.
The whole team need overhauling from the PCB to team, even better the team should not player any international matches for two years and build the team.
They should appoint the coach not for national team for national academ so to train the gross root level.

Don't have LOT of EXPECTATIONS - you remember what Mr. Najum Sethi said...why so much is EXPECTED from Pakistan...STRANGE isn't it...look who is talking...
It is so unfortunate that corruption (Satta) is rampant in today's cricket. Only money matters nothing else...who have deeper pockets can dictate, buy and influence cricketing players in many shape and form...
