DERA MURAD JAMALI: Militants blew up two gas pipelines in Pir Koh and Loti area of Dera Bugti district on Sunday, police said.

Explosives placed under a pipeline supplying gas to a purification plant from well number 10 of Pir Koh gas field were detonated by remote control, they said.

A separate pipeline supplying gas to the Loti purification plant from well No 12 was also blown up by saboteurs, police said.

“Big portions of the two pipelines were reduced to pieces by the powerful explosions,” police said, adding that supply to the two plants from the gas fields had been suspended by engineers of the Sui Southern Gas Company. Repair of the pipelines will start on Monday after security clearance.
