KARACHI: Sindh Governor Dr. Ishratul Ibad surprised the audience at the ‘I Am Karachi’ festival on Saturday when he played an electric guitar to a romantic Bollywood song from the movie Aashiqui 2.

Who knew the governor of Sindh could belt out romantic Bollywood tunes on an electric guitar?

And then, Ishratul Ibad turned to vocals, singing the famous Pakistani anthem ‘Ye Watan Tumhara Hai.’

The event was organised in collaboration with 'I Am Karachi', a campaign that aims to inculcate hope, pride and ownership in the citizens of Karachi to collectively strive for a peaceful city.

The seven-day youth festival held at the Pakistan Arts Council, featuring several competition categories including singing, theatre, photography, essay writing, painting, and photography, culminated on Saturday.

Youths aged between 15 to 29 took part in the various competition categories and showcased their talents. The festival was also attended by several dignitaries including renowned artists, social workers, and politicians.
