KARACHI: Airport Hockey Club carved out a 4-0 victory over Police Boys to sneak into quarter-finals of the Maj Jahanzeb Adnan Shaheed hockey tournament at Islahuddin-Dr Shah Hockey Academy on Saturday.

Shadab starred for winners scoring a brace of goals in eighth and 23rd minutes. Faisal and Nadeem scored one goal apiece in 18th and 41st minutes to complete the rout.

Airport Club is slated to meet Islahuddin-Dr Shah Academy in the quarter-finals on Monday.

In yet another one-sided match, National Club outplayed Baldia Club 7-0. Wahab Mazari (2), Imran Khan, Uzair Ahmed, Naveed, Arsalan and Nasir one each earned the scoring honours. Despite being thumped in their last outing, Baldia Club made it to the last eight where they face Sherwani Motors.
