Everyone wants more MONEY. Rich share holders get richer while general public suffer. While oil prices are down on the world market, why these fellows want to stick it to the consumer. Don't let them jack up any prices at all. Force them either to lower the prices, or keep the prices down.

What about the CIRCULAR DEBT FRO THE POWER COMPANIES...?? what is the outstanding payments from Nawaz brothers to power companies,,,,,?????

This could not have been done in a week. Without the new PM it might not have been done at all. Credit where credit is due. Prices are set by the government ministers with advice and consent. Everybody wants a deal, but we cry if the petrol tanks are empty. It is not so easy to transport oil and gas to Pakistan. There are costs. Prices are reset at the petrol station pumps. Supply and demand! What stations can charge must be set by governments. That is the weak link, where regulators can be bribed. If petrol prices are too high then go to a station where petrol is cheaper. It isn't cheaper anywhere else? Those are the market forces of Supply and Demand.

Wasn't it Dawn a few days back scaring us all of companies not buying enough and a looming oil crisis ! Everybody is expert of everything in Pakistan these days !
