Karachi woke up to a raid on NineZero this morning. Several MQM activists, including senior Rabita Committee member Amir Khan, were detained during the Rangers’ raid that began in the early hours of Wednesday.
The Rangers seized large cache of arms and detained workers. An office bearer, Waqas Ali Shah, was killed during the raid and a cameraman injured during firing.
In the wake of the law and order situation, schools were closed down and examinations postponed as citizens feared violence in the city.

Genral Raheel has only i think 1 to 1.5 yrs left in his service, I hope he can deliver in atleast SINDH specially Karachi, Hyderabad. We cannot continue like this Gentlemen we are sinking low everyday & as i speak. we can only come up from here.

Well done Rangers; wipe out the criminals whosoever they are. The criminals have forgotten God; they are accountable here and hereafter. The atrocities of common citizens at the hand of these criminals must end. Let's encourage law enforcing agencies to establish writ of the Govt and ensure rule of law. This is important for the well being of all peace loving citizens.

Where are the murderers of Model Town last year? is there any justice and is it ever going to be justice for all on equal basis or it will continue like this as an anarchy and bias? The "Real" Justice must come on equal footing or there is "NO" justice at all.

Indeed this is the long over due step. All parties involved in crimes should be ban and culprit should be brought to justice. I hope they clean up the mess in karachi and other cities. PPP, ANP and MQM all are behind criminal activities in karachi for over 30 years now. They have killed thousands of peoples just to show their power.
Arrest and punish them all. only Army can do this no other political parties has the will or support of every one in karachi

Nothing surprising, When, there are no principles. One day you call MQM to get support for Senate chairman slot.
Next day, when Chairmanship is decided without any need for MQM's support, you raid MQM.
This raid would not have happened, if the senate's chairman race was open.
Then, who is running the government?

People of Karachi have been living in fear of target killers and bhatta khores for decades. It looks like prayers of many victims, dead or live have started to come to fruitation for a change. Hopefully people of Karachi would be able to live like human being for a change, not as hostage to gangsters and criminals. Message should be clear to all crooks, Become a politician to 'serve' the people, not to 'kill' or 'loot' the people. Rangers please continue to make karachi safe. Please also take action in Lyari area as well. There are desperate people living fearful life all over province of Sindh. Please provide safety, so people can walk as proud citizens of Pakistan. May Almighty give strength to Rangers to protect people of Pakistans.

Highly suspicious operation, why only target the MQM when there are several potential targets that could have been simultaneously raided to get the maximum impact. This will backfire for the people of Karachi. Anyone who lives in Karachi knows which areas are ruled by gangs, thugs and terrorists. Also why are the Rangers wearing masks? Who are they afraid of?

To be honest. There are more trouble spots in Karachi that warrant such raids. This clearly shows political enmity on part of the administration.
An armed society is after all a just society in a country where the two major political parties have applied the law of the jungle.

The militant elements should be removed from within MQM. To have all these weapons at party headquarters implies these these elements were planning to create trouble. And yes, the same treatment should be given to other parties if they are also creating private armies.

Rangers have done very well, people not only from Karachi but from over the country have no words to appreciate all those steps the Ranger is taking to bring peace back in the city. People in Karachi have been living in a hostage like situation since a long time and could not speak openly and could not tell of the fear they have been living in for decades. Now it is hoped all those criminals from top to the bottom will be brought to justice.
Poor people of Karachi have suffered a lot, now not any more. Thanks Rangers,Pakistan Army and our political leadership who has given them free hand to crush all criminals irrespective of their political affiliations in the city.
