QUETTA: A division bench of the Balochistan High Court comprising Chief Justice Muhammad Noor Meskanzai and Justice Muhammad Hashim Kakar directed the provincial government on Friday not to transfer State Officer of Quetta Metropolitan Corporation till the final disposal of the case.

The bench passed the order while hearing a petition filed by Mst Parveen and others against the provincial government.

A list of leased property was also submitted by the State Officer of the Corporation which revealed that properties of corporation have been leased out against a “meagre” amount.

The court further said that State Officer had filed a detailed report which required further probe by this court.

The court ordered that neither the concerned official should be transferred nor the charge be handed over to any other officer.

“The petitioner officer would continue to perform the duties in existing status.”

The Additional Advocate General Balochistan submitted a letter issued by the Mayor and former Nazim of the corporation stating that the institution had not executed any lease.
