Mr Khan said that the completion of road would also provide an opportunity to the people of the district to take benefits from the coal mines and other minerals in Kurd Sharif, Showanki and Koh-i-Maidan areas.

The adviser said that the district would get millions of rupees in the head of revenue from the coal mines. He added that other important projects were also launched in his constituency with the oil and gas royalty funds.

The lawmaker said that the oil refinery would also provide employment opportunities to the local educated youth. He expressed the hope that the mega project would be launched in the district as it was had 75 per cent oil and gas reserves of the Kohat division.

Mr Khan said that irrigation left canal from the Indus River would also usher a new era of development in the district. He claimed that the district would grow grain and vegetables to meet the requirements of the entire province.
