KARACHI: A London-bound PIA flight made emergency landing in Moscow on Sunday evening after one of its passengers complained of severe chest pain, it is learnt.

According to sources, the PIA flight PK785 took off from the Banazir Bhutto International Airport, Islamabad, on Sunday afternoon. The aircraft was flying towards its destination when a passenger suffered from severe chest pain and called the flight crew for help.

The pilot declared a medical emergency and landed at the Moscow airport from where the passenger was taken to a hospital. His wife who was travelling with him, also left the flight.

The plane resumed its journey after a stopover of an hour and 45 minutes. PIA spokesperson Haneef Rana, who identified the passenger as Pervez Iqbal while talking Dawn, regretted inconvenience caused to other passengers.
