Boxing course

KARACHI, Sept 27: Twenty-four senior boxing coaches, including three from Afghanistan, attended the first lecture of the IOC Solidarity Course which started here on Saturday.

The three Afghans — Nazeer Mohammad Abbasi, Mohammad Zaman Karmil and Syed Ahmad — are attending the course on the special invitation by Pakistan Boxing Federation.

Former Pakistan coach Ismail Salas from Cuba, now associated with Thai team, will be the chief instructor.

Coaches attending the course are:

Mohammad Munir, Mohammad Khalid, Fida Ali (Pakistan Army), Zaigham Maseel, Cdr Mohammad Ali (Pakistan Navy), Tahir Qureshi (PAF), Mohammad Tariq (Wapda), Fazal Akram (Railways), Siddique Qambrani (KPT), Abdul Khaliq, Yousuf Butt, Younus Bhatti (Punjab), Haji Hasratullah (Balochistan), Mohammad Iqbal, Itrat Nazeer, Amir Ali Butt (NWFP), Ali Bux Baloch, Younus Qambrani, Syed Ahmad Ali Hazara, Younus Pathan and Mohammad Aslam (Sindh).
