KARACHI: The first of the five French built ATR72 aircraft, acquired by the Pakistan International Airlines, arrived at Karachi airport, said a statement on Sunday.

The statement said that the national flag carrier had acquired the fuel-efficient aircraft, having a capacity of 66 passengers.

The remaining four aircraft will join the PIA fleet by the end of next month, it added.
