KASUR: The Habibabad flyover on Multan Road near Pattoki was opened to traffic on Wednesday.

The flyover which replaced an old bridge built in 1986 is 867-metre long and 26.7-metre wide. It has cost Rs831million.

Engineer in-chief of Pakistan Army Lt-Gen Khalid Asghar opened the project which has been executed by the FWO in a record time of three months.

The bridge completion is a major relief for motorists as they faced long gridlocks near Habibabad during the last three months of its construction.
