SWABI: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has planned to meet all the requirements of the government primary schools here in the district and released Rs210 million under the improvement plan.

Assistant district education officer Gaza Bacha said this while speaking at a programme organised by Pakistan Coalition for Education (PCE) under the global action week programme at Utla in Gadoon region.

Mr Bacha said that Rs100 million had been released to the boys primary schools and Rs 90 million to girls primary schools besides Rs20 million for meeting the demand of furniture in these schools.

He said that the government would soon start training of the members of parent-teacher councils so as to strengthen monitoring of the schools and ensure provision of quality education to the students.

He said that 276 new classrooms, 12 new examination halls and six science laboratories would be built in the district. In addition, construction of 13 primary schools, eight high schools and 11 higher secondary schools would be completed soon, he said.

“The biometric system would be installed in all educational institutions soon,” he said.

The gathering was also addressed by PCE district coordinator Amjid Ali and others.

FIR REGISTERED: An FIR has been registered here at Yar Hussain police station against a retired patwari and his friend for illegal transfer of about 20 kanals of a person during his service.

The circle officer, Iqbal Husain, said that they had registered an FIR against former patwari Kausar Ali and Zahiruddin after their investigation.

He said that under a fake mutation the patwari had deprived Fawlad Khan of his land in Yar Hussain village.
