LAHORE: Pakistan Rangers (Punjab) Director General Maj-Gen Umer Farooq Burki on Thursday visited frontline check posts of Desert Rangers, Bahawalpur.

According to a news release issued by Rangers’ spokesman, the director general was visiting the Desert Rangers headquarters for the third time.

Sector Commander Brig Riazul Hasan briefed the DG about the ongoing activities of the Rangers personnel at the working boundary.

Gen Farooq met the Rangers personnel and praised their sacrifices for the country. He appreciated Punjab Rangers’ enthusiasm and said they were carrying out the sacred mission of guarding the country’s borders.

He also expressed satisfaction over the operational and professional preparedness of Rangers.

The DG also visited Bhajwat Charwo, Dhamala sectors and Cholistan Desert check posts near the working boundary.
