KARACHI: Asian snooker champion Hamza Akbar added Rs300,000 to his kitty that were doled out by three individuals on his remarkable feat in Kuala Lumpur recently. Raising funds was part of the Pakistan Billiards and Snooker Federation (PBSF) campaign it has launched to help the cueist compete in professional league in England.
According to the PBSF, a big chunk of the amount — Rs200,000 — came from business tycoon Aqeel Karim Dhedhi of AKD Securities.
Besides, two other people Mohammad Asif and Haroon Agar announced a sum of Rs50,000 apiece.
