SHEIKHUPURA: Jamaat-i-Islami (JI) emir Sirajul Haq told a party workers’ convention here on Friday his party, once in power, would eliminate discrimination from society and would provide equal opportunities to every citizen.

He urged workers to launch a door-to-door mass contact campaign to resolve their problems. He demanded that the government initiate an impartial inquiry into corruption of the Citizen Community Board of Sheikhupura.

Mr Haq said the election tribunal verdict in NA-125 constituency which de-seated Khawaja Saad Rafiq was a matter of great concern. He said federal minsters were linking the decision with irregularities and negligence of returning officers (ROs) while giving a clean chit to Mr Rafiq.
