KARACHI: A homoeopathic doctor was shot dead on Saturday when unknown motorcyclists opened fire at his clinic in Karachi's Nazimabad area.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Central Captain Chaudhry Asad Ali said Dr Anwar Ali Abidi and another person sustained injuries when assailants opened fire at the doctor's clinic in Paposh, Nazimabad. Later, the doctor succumbed to his injuries.
The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities.
Police suspect the incident was the result of a target killing.
Take a look: Another doctor killed in ‘sectarian’ attack

RIP,
The government needs to deweaponize the entire city if peace has to be restored. Rangers are doing their best but complete deweaponizatin of Karachi may require cooperation of each and every peaceful citizen of Karachi and help to the rangers by the police and the army.
This needs to be done on war footing. Those found with illegal arms should be given strict possible punishment.

City has become too big and ungovernable. It should be divided into 2 to 3 cities. One city should be part of Sindh, another one independent union territory and the third part part of Baluchistan. It will solve so many problems.

When target killers are caught, yet supported, aquitted, served while in prison, than why blame the securities.
NA 246 is an example of above.
It's not about right or wrong, it's about supporting who you identify with, even if they are target killers.
So it is natural that such crimes will keep happening.
So accept it and move on. Rlection mandate has supported such political leaders all over Pakiatan.

Deweaponising the city is far from the solution to the menace of target killings and "rob n kill as you go" killings.
stolen weapons, stolen bikes, are unfortunately available with our country's most corrupt LEA, the Police. Though it may sound farfetched but these "na maloom afraad" who kill and disappear are operating from the very jails inside Karachi.
The Police know the killers inside out. Let's hope Rangers are going to shut down the Police Department soon if they are serious enough in bringing peace to Karachi. Otherwise, even if all political parties and their leaderships are nabbed, these killings will still continue and public will remain oblivious to the aforementioned million dollar fact.

@Guest65 maybe some of these doctors need to pay attention to the needs of their patients instead of fleecing them.A lot of patients die due
To the negligence and incompetence of some doctors in Pakistan and there is no procedure for punishment or for
compensation to the the effected people. It is no wonder some people take the law into their hands take and revenge.

It is confirmed by the supmreme court as well by the intelligence findings that political parties have millitants wing. Rangers and armed forces of Pakistan are fightings against all these terrorist elements with courage it is the duty of all peace loving citizen to help our brave forces who trying to bring calm to the cities. It is the responsibilty of the civil government to disarm the whole nation. Legal or illegal arms should be taken away ASAP only the law enforcing agencies are allowed to have arms.
This type of target killing will only stops when these political militant wings are completely rooted out with even hands, targeting one political party and let have free hands to thers will not produce the desired result. All should be treated with iron hand and the justice be made visible and clear to all citizen, then it will bear the fruit.
