MIRPURKHAS: Police on Monday carried out raids on a number of seminaries in Mirpurkhas city as well as Mirwah Gorchani, Kot Ghulam Mohammed and some other towns and sealed at least 15 of them.

Mirpurkhas SSP Usman Ghani Siddique told the media that there were 94 seminaries functioning in the district and were told to get registered. He said that 62 of them got themselves registered but only eight of the remaining ones applied for registration. He said action was being taken against the defiant seminaries.
