GWADAR: Police arrested three highwaymen after raiding their hideout in Turbat, late on Monday night.

They were reportedly involved in highway robberies, snatching salary of government employees and other similar crimes. Heavy exchange of fire took place between police and robbers when the former raided hideout in Gulshanabad area in the outskirts of Turbat.

Eventually police were able to arrest three dacoits and also recovered from their possession illegal weapons, two snatched motorcycles, six mobile phones and some other items. “One of the dacoits was wanted in snatching salary of government employees,” a senior police officer said adding that further interrogation was in progress.
