KHAIRPUR, Oct 3: District Nazim Nafisa Shah has said the law and order situation in the district would deteriorate if political interference was not checked.

Talking to newsmen at her residence on Thursday, she said, about one dozen feuds were going on in the district.

She said as many as thirty murders had been reported from different villages but the police neither were able to arrest any culprit nor they took any preventive measure.

She said the DPO was not consulting her on the law and order and other administrative affairs. She said the DPO should make himself responsible before the district government.

She said as many as 20 officers had been transferred from police, education and revenue department during last 20 days in the district without her consent. She said there should not be any Jirga in cases involving murders and women.

She said there were petty courts throughout world to settle down such matters effectively within that particular group of people. She said the DPO could ban holding of Jirgas but he had not taken any permission from her to announce such a ban.
