SUKKUR: A thunderstorm followed by rain hit Sukkur and its adjoining areas late on Wednesday evening bringing down the temperature and turning the weather pleasant.

However, strong winds brought down a number of commercial hoardings and trees in different parts of the city. There were no reports of casualties or heavy damage.

Rains are expected to lash some other parts of upper Sindh, including Pannu Aqil, Ghotki and Khanpur Mahar, as the sky in these cities remained overcast in the evening.
