LAHORE: Pakistan Railways will run a special train between Karachi and Lahore to facilitate families desirous of traveling between the two provincial capitals ahead of summer vacation in educational institutions.

The special train will leave Karachi Cantt on May 31 (today) at 10am to reach Lahore the next day (June 1) 7.10am, says a spokesperson on Saturday. The train will reach Hyderabad on May 31 at 12.15pm, Rohri 4.15pm, Bahawalpur at 10.40pm, Multan 12.20am, Khanewal 1.30am and Faisalabad at 4.30am.

Meanwhile, two express trains will be operating according to new timings from June 1.

Sukkur Express (148-Down) will now be leaving Jacobabad at 7pm to reach Karachi City the next day at 7.30am, says a spokesperson.

Previously, the 148-Down used to depart Jacobabad at 6pm to reach Karachi City the next day at 5.40am through Rohri, Tando Adam and Hyderabad.

Karakoram Express (42-Down) would be reaching Khanewal at 8.40pm and leaving for Karachi at 9pm.
