HYDERABAD: Law enforcement agencies along with jail police conducted a special and surprise operation against prohibited objects in the Hyderabad central jail, but they did not find any significant thing except for small ones, the top jail official said.

Jail Superintendent Ziaur Rehman said five forces — Pakistan Army, Rangers, Frontier Constabulary, Hyderabad district and jail police — took part in the exercise. The exercise started from 5pm and continued till around 7:30pm.

He said the forces found a small scissor, an iron rod, a hand-made screw and a piece of tile.

He said jail officials were also unaware of the operation as it was a special and surprise one.
