India Pakistan ties: US uneasy about fallout of tensions

WASHINGTON: The recent increase in tensions between Pakistan and India should not make “some entities feel empowered”, US Secretary of State John Kerry warned at a news briefing on Tuesday after the telephonic conversation with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
Mr Kerry said he discussed with Mr Sharif “the recent increase in tensions between Pakistan and India”.
Another State Department official told reporters that Washington was “in touch with New Delhi” as well “at the highest level”.

Alarmed by the recent spate of threats and counter-threats exchanged between Pakistan and India, the United States has launched a diplomatic offensive to encourage the two countries to ease tensions and resume talks.
Soon after Secretary Kerry called Mr Sharif, the prime minister’s office issued a statement saying the conversation focused on Pakistan’s efforts to defeat terrorism.

Even if India Pakistan want to better their relationship , their is an Iron Friend that will not allow this , Pakistan wants better relationship with India not because it genuinely feels so , but due to necessities like water and to prevent implosion .

Big B had held the rein now the politician of both cuntries feel at ease and talk peace peace again for a few days again..
I remember the same situation when Big B was busy in Iraq and our politician seniors were busy in playing pillow fighting, the day Saddam fall, Big B turned the red eye towards us and from the very next day game of peace peace.. aman ki asha, bus service started..
When our seniors will be inteligent enough to wigh and devide their own bread, instead of going to others.

Peace is the only solution. In case of a war there will be no winner, then why fight. I am not saying that we should be friends. But we don't have to be foes. May be our new generations become friends, who knows.

Any country that intervenes in another country's affair causes more problems. This is borne by history, world over. Using violence/supporting violence to force the matter always recoils on the country and its leaders.

when 2 kids start fighting in the building compound a elder from the society comes and separates them out. This is how it is happening.
Sad that Pakistan and India are not able to sort out their differences. In case of Mumbai attacks Pakistan is busy cosying up with the terrorists involved. What they say and what they do are totally diametrically opposite. India on the other hand has taken a aggressive posture with talk of teaching Pak a lesson for any terrorist misadvantures.

America must not arm Pakistan if they want peace in the area.
They talk peace but sneak in weapons from Afghanistan
into Pakistan and also allow Pakistan to purchase fighter jet via third party.

Dawn or Times of India should start this.
Also tour operators from both sides be encouraged for conducting tours.
Student exchange programs must not be limited to just 100 but 10 times that.
Sin larly administration and buarecrats must be sent on learning programs. Mullahs and educated religious leaders should also spend time travelling.

USA first arms Pakistan and,expects peace.Then it sells arms to India. Now China is calling the shots in Afghan Pak area and USA will soon be irrelevant
Pakistan has not wanted peace with India because of China & USA s backing and there will be no peace till these two countries stop fishing in troubled waters.

There was a story in the 2nd standard called"kuttan and Muttan".2 rams who were fighting with each other to see who is better.A fox volunteered to be a referee.As the fight went on, the rams realised that the fox is licking their blood which fell on to the ground.They united and kicked the fox out.
Mr Kerry, this is what siblings do.It is called sibling rivalry.But it is not a problem for you to have a head ache(as in like the picture)

I want to tell Indians to learn our experiences about USA. Americans cannot be trusted. They will hug you with one arm and stab you from other. If you don't believe, no problem. Just wait and see. India must be friend with Pakistan, China and Russia to create a strong alliance in the region. We all (India, Pak, Russia, China) share the same problems. Just my honest opinion.

When a PM takes pride in breaking up its neighbour and its ministers proudly tell they use terrorists as a state tool and then another minister says an economic project for the betterment of Pakistan's people is unacceptable to them and yet another one threatens to violate sovereignty of Pakistan then HOW CAN PAKISTAN NOT REACT?
I see some people are talking brothers, siblings etc. What brothers? The one who you cut in half?

If you want peace in the region than India should also not buy weapons from US, Russia, France and Germany.... India budget for weapon purchase is 10 times higher than Pakistan... how to have peace in the region with India keep pilling its weaponry....

Does America even have clout that it used to over Pakistan to give such statements like “some entities should not feel empowered”? America is better advised to stay engaged in its honeymoon with India and plot its plan on how to contain China with Indian partnership, while Pakistan got nothing to do with it and we are moving ahead with regional relationship which include China and Russia.
