KOHAT: Five people were killed and one person was seriously injured in an armed clash between members of a same family in Darsamand area of Hangu district on Thursday, police said.

They said that the armed sons of Rehmat Shah and Haji Inam exchanged harsh words with each others, which led to the fire exchange. As a result, Ghani Badshah, Gulli Badshah, Eid Badshah – all sons of Rehmat Shah – and Sher Dil and Safiullah – sons of Haki Inam – died on the spot, while Sultan Zeb was injured. The police said that when they reached courtyard of the house they saw blood scattered everywhere.

Both the deceased and the injured were taken to Rauf hospital, Doaba, where postmortem of the bodies had not been done till filing of this report. An official of Doaba police said that the FIR would be launched from both sides once the team arrived back from Darsamand. They said that both the groups had an old family dispute which resulted in the clash.
