KOHAT: A retired warrant officer of Pakistan Air Force was gunned down while going to offer morning prayers at a local mosque in Nasrat Khel area here on Friday.
The cantonment police said that PAF warrant officer identified as Shehzad Gul worked as a teacher in a local school. They said that he was targeted by Arshad Mehmood and his sons Zahid Mehmood and Fazal Mehmood, while going to offer morning prayers. The police said that the three accused persons were already wanted by police in cases of murder, attempted murder and attacking police. They said that Shehzad Gul died while being taken to the women and children hospital.
The police said that the reason behind the killing was stated to be an old family feud. The police registered FIR against the culprits on the complaint of the brother of the deceased, Faqir Gul, and began further investigations.
