KARACHI: Zahid Mansoor showed his all-round prowess to steer Rivo Mobile to a crucial 32-run success against Omar Colts in the 28th Aga Khan Gymkhana Ramazan Cricket Tournament for the State Life Trophy here on Sunday.

Rivo Mobile’s second successive win in Group ‘B’ was inspired by Zahid who first scored a run-a-ball 25 and then snared three wickets for 41 runs to claim the man-of-the-match prize.

Opting to bat first at the AKG Ground, Rivo Mobile made 160-9 in the stipulated 20 overs. Ayaz Tasawwar slammed 49 from 38 balls with the aid of five boundaries and one six, Naved Malik bludgeoned 43 from just 16 balls with three fours and four sixes.

Medium-pacer Mohammad Irfan took 2-11 and left-arm spinner Asghar Shah 2-30.

Omar Colts were curtailed to 128-9 in reply with Irfan scoring a quick 39 off 18 balls with five fours and two sixes.

Right-arm paceman Umaid Asif claimed three wickets for 27 runs.
