Shaista Lodhi, who hosted one of the most popular morning shows on Pakistani television, appears to have tied the knot.
She announced her nuptials in a tweet that quoted a Quranic verse about marriage:
|
Unfortunately for her fans, she shied away from revealing the identity of her husband.
Shaista, who was earlier known as Shaista Wahidi, divorced her former husband in 2012.
Lodhi is rumoured to soon be returning to television after a hiatus following an uproar over allegedly blasphemous content on her TV show.
She had moved with her three children to Dubai and made a return trip to Karachi earlier this month.

The tweet very clearly states "Alhamdulillah married", why the interrogative semantics in the headline?

"Another is coming back", Yeah and waste more time of innocent women folk sitting home, talking nonsense. I wish our women folk was wise enough to stay away from these so-called morning shows and from these so-called hosts and do something positive.

It is good that she is married but it would be very bad if she returns to host a morning like one she hosted in the past.

Mubarak Shaista! May you have a blissful and wonderful marriage full of joy and happiness! We miss your excellent interviewing skills vs other Pak female talk show hosts who constantly interrupt their guests in mid conversation (poor training, mediocre production teams) and focus the interview solely on themselves vs their guests - due to such "divas" narcissistic egos. : (
Hope to see you soon hosting Pakistani media shows, doing what you do best - conduct intelligent, thought provoking interviews with genuine class : )

I am 200 percent agreed with you.Morning shows is totally wastage of time.
on top of that we are not getting anything productive out of them.
I think morning show bring up more frustration in our culture because they are decorated with high quality of clothes, shoes and make up.

@Asif There is nothing wrong with women watching morning shows like the one hosted by Shaista Wahidi. Women folks, too, need entertainment. What else is there in the land of pure for the women. Cooking and raising children is a tough and challenging work not fully appreciated by men in our society. So women have every right to watch whatever passes for entertainment on our TV. Time for men to wake up from their slumber. This is twenty first century, after all.

Welcome back Shasita. Some of your shows were very much informative, specially about the ones hosted about jadoo with a team of Aamils. Thoroughly informative they were and they did change my mind, I could separate between the one who are actually curing the jadoo (Amils) and the one who are doing it.
Please do good morning shows & not just shadis.
