Hockey coaching camp for youth

KARACHI: Seventy youth have turned up to learn finer points of the game at a fortnight summer hockey coaching camp which commenced at the blue astro turf of Islahuddin-Dr M. A. Shah academy the other day.

According to former Olympian Islahuddin, who is supervising the camp, the 70 trainees are besides the 250 players who are registered with the academy.

The players are being taught basics of the game including individual skills, besides match practice and physical fitness daily from 4.30pm to 7.30pm by a panel of experts.

The camp concludes on Aug 14.
