ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Awami Tehreek chairman, Dr. Tahirul Qadri, on Wednesday introduced a 25-book curriculum for educational institutions.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Mr Qadri said the curriculum proposed measures to eliminate terrorism and sectarianism from the society.

He made an impassioned appeal to the educational institutions to benefit from the curriculum.

The PAT chief said out of 20 sections of the National Action Plan, only one was implemented which related to setting up of military courts.

Elaborating on the reasons that give rise to terrorism and extremism, Dr. Tahirul Qadri said that unless a friendly and peaceful atmosphere was not provided in the schools, colleges, universities and maddrassas, peace could never come in the country and social and economic injustices would never end.

He said education, health and employment could not be provided to the people unless peace and tranquility prevail.

He said the people would never get social and legal justice and under these circumstances only terrorism and sectarianism would flourish.
