Lego Land: My dream destination

LEGO Land Windsor is a theme park in Berkshire, England, themed around the Lego toy system with over 55 exhilarating rides which include Laser Raiders, Spinning Spider; Viking River Splash, Long Boat Invader and Pirate Fall, to name a few.

It is a dream destination for kids who love Lego. And I was lucky enough to visit this resort last year during my visit to London. One beautiful morning my uncle got me out of the bed and asked me to dress up quickly without telling where we were going. So I quickly dressed and rushed to the car and after driving for a while I reached Lego Land!

I couldn’t believe what I was seeing! My uncle smiled at my excitement as I was literally jumping in excitement. We had to queue up to get our tickets to enter the resort and finally we were in the grand dreamland I had always been dreaming about. I grabbed the map of the resort and we first went to the ‘Lego Star Wars Miniland’. It had all the Star Wars characters jammed to perfection using huge Lego bricks.

Next we boarded a Lego train that dropped us at Viking River Splash. After what seemed like an endless wait, it was our turn to zoom in the water! We sped away and came out all soaked in water.

Later, we went to Space Tower and also watched Clutch Powers Risers 2 at Imagination Theatre. Lego Miniland was an amazing sight — it is a miniature-themed section with mini structures like London Eye, City Hall and Tower Bridge, all made from authentic Lego bricks.

I also earned myself a Lego Land Driving License from Lego Land Driving School. So you might be wondering why? Actually, at the Lego Driving School, children aged six to 13, after watching a road safety video, drive electric cars around a realistic course encountering traffic lights, roundabouts with other drivers. At the end, they all earn their very own Lego Land Driving License.

We felt hungry after all this fun so we went to Lego Burger Shack, where I munched on the scrumptious food and yes, I loved the Lego brick-shaped fries there!

Then my uncle told me that it was time to go home, so I bought a few souvenirs from the Lego gift shop to remember my dream-come-true visit at Lego Land. I wish I could go back and enjoy there again. And if you ever do get a chance to visit it, don’t miss it!
