QUETTA: An anti-terrorism court here on Friday issued non-bailable arrest warrant for Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Altaf Hussain for making malicious remarks against the armed forces of the country.

The warrant was issued by the ATC-II, Quetta, on an application filed by a resident of Pishin, Khudai Rahim. Judge Nauroz Khan ordered Mr Hussain be arrested and produced before the court at the next hearing on Aug 25.

Mr Rahim had submitted the application at the Pishin police station and asked the police authorities to register a case against the MQM leader to bring him to justice for making malicious remarks in his speech against the Pakistan Army and Rangers.
