GWADAR: Four people died and two others were injured in firing and a road accident in Gwadar and Turbat districts on Saturday.

Police said two bullet-riddled bodies were found in Hootabad and the Kech river near Turbat. The body found in the river was identified as that of Abdul Manam who was reported missing a day ago.

In Hootabad, the body of one Muhammad Amin, was recovered. His relatives said he had been kidnapped a few days ago by unknown men. A senior police officer told Dawn, the men were murdered by unidentified assailants who dumped their bodies after killing them. He said multiple bullet wounds were found on both bodies, adding they were shot in the head and chest.

Road accident: Saifullah and Shahzeb were killed in a road accident on the coastal highway near Ormara in Gwadar district. The deceased were riding a motorcycle when a car on its way from Karachi crashed into the bike.

Two men who were in the car suffered injuries. They were identified as Mehmood Ahmed and Abdul Qadoos.

The injured were taken to a hospital for treatment. A case has been registered by the police. No arrests have been made as yet.
