QUETTA: Commander of Southern Command Lt Gen Mohammad Nasser Khan Janjua visited the National Book Festival in Government Law College on Sunday.

The festival has been organised by the National Book Foundation as part of Independence Day celebrations. It will continue till Aug 14. Thousands of books on different topics, including religion, politics, social sciences and literature, have been put on the display in the fair.

The commander, who visited different stalls, said great nations took special interest in book reading to increases their knowledge because without knowledge no nation could achieve the goals of progress and prosperity.
