Squash trials from Oct 20

ISLAMABAD, Oct 13: The Pakistan Squash Federation (PSF) is to hold trials to select a 12-member team which will take part in the Junior British Open.

Wng. Cdr. Sajid Waheed, the PSF secretary, said on Monday that as many as 40 players would appear in the trials that will take place at the Pakistan Sports Complex from Oct 20.

Top under-19 players Yasir Butt and Khalid Atlas have been granted exemption.

Similarly Farhan Mahboob in the under-17 category, Amir Atlas in the under-15 ranks and Waqar Mahboob in the under-13 age bracket have also been exempted.

“We plan to pick three players from each age group with the final team having 12 members,” Sajid said.

The training camp for players who get eventually selected will begin in Islamabad from December 1 under national coach Rehmat Khan.
