We the Pakistani never appreciated the greatness of man named Mr. M.A. Jinnah. We paid only lip service on his birthday and death anniversaries and this where our loyalty to him ended.
In reality, person like him are born in centuries. In his four year stay in England, from tender age of 16 to 20, he transferred him self into a brilliant Attorney, a great statement as per Agha Khans's memoirs, and achieved the impossible of creating a nation which never existed before in the history books.
The best respect we can give to this man is to adhere to his vision as prescribed by him in his memorable speech of August 11, 1947.

There are many lessons to learn from his principles. He was adorable and yet only human.
I had a score of 14/15. Always understood Jinnah meant thin, but I find it different here. Yet I believe I don't know too much about him and keep on finding something new every year.

We have been diverted and subjagated so far from what he wanted of pakistan and pakistanis, we have become self serving, and we look at others as our inferiors, as a muslim we are all meant to be equal, and the way the politicans are raping our country is beyond contemptable. The elite are so rich but avoid taxes, the poor are so poor, that they dont know where their next meal is coming from. And the joke is the police who are meant to be public servants are the ones who dont understand what their responsibilities are, instead they are always picking on the poor.... Do you think Mr Ali Jinnah would be pround of what we have become...... I think the youth of today need to see and understand the mistakes of the older generations and change not just for themselves but for a better pakistan and for the betterment of the future generations.

Jinnah was and is and will be the national leader. He had nothing inside him. He worked hard as a student as a lawyer then as a leader. Despite his sickness he was selfless. He gave us everything but now we ppl just are so ungrateful that ppl who abuse him or say bad about him we don't even shut them. You will know what freedom is if you see Berman ppl. He was the man of dignity and honour. He left his daughter because of his honour and dignity. There is always backbiting behind every person. But take a look you are free. A nation of free ppl. You don't owe to anyone. You cant say that you aren't free. Take a look even in India nobody is free. He was great leader and he gave us this country about whom he said love it love it and love it

motherland. Since the internet has become commonplace, we are on full view of the world, so please help make Pakistan a better place where people want to come visit and talk positively about Pakistan, Not negatively. We celebrate Independance day, but i think the country would have been better if we had stayed part of India.... Because what Mr Ali Jinnah wanted to acheive has not been acheived but quite the opposite...we have regressed instead of progressed. Thank you for listening to my views.... sabz786sabz@gmail.com

Ali Jinnah would be dissappointed with what we have become. Lets look at the Police. We need a complete restructuring of Pakistan Police Force, from top to bottom, Have an independent board of people from different backgrounds checking on the varios police stations, visiting the prisons and listenening to the inmates complaints. I always hear of police brutality towards the poor, and it's mob mentality, the police are the criminals but as they wear uniforms they can get away with persecuting the poor. I've been at a certain police officers home, when a constable came in asking the officer to help him out of a murder enquiry. The officer said dont worry it will cost you XXXX much and we will close the case.....

Ali Jinnah... Lets take positive steps to improve our country, and help the needy. No matter of Race,Religion,or Caste. We are all humans, lets treat others as we like to be treated. And help those poor children of Kasur, who have been left emotionally and physically scarred. The perpertrators of these hineous crimes should be castrated so they can't do this again after serving lengthy jail terms..... as the victims have to live with this for the rest of their lives. If these people were in UK prisons, they would not live past a week in prison as the prisoners over here would want to kill them. the crimes of rape and child abuse are the lowest of the low..... even prisoners have their rules. and nobody likes child abusers and rapist.... i say let the people give them justice, i would like to hear what they're families think of their crimes and especially their children.....

@Maqsooda Person to person no Pakistani comes even close to Edhi, no one at all. Look at what he got in return for his service and sacrifices. He is a greater individual than he is acknowledged to be by Pakistanis. If anybody deserves a Nobel Peace Prize it is Abdul Sattar Edhi and even that will fall short of what he deserves. I am of Indian origin but acknowledge him to be one of the greatest living beings.

It is exciting to see that Dawn is enlighting the interest in the hisotry of Pakistan and Our Leader. I remeber the Quiz Programs, were very popular on PTV, back in 80's on the occasion of Independence day, such as Zoaq-e-Aagahi, I used to Participate as well. Our new Generation needs this understanding what is Independence, How we gained this independence, who were our leaders and what we can learn from them, as well as how we can protect our soverneity. Dawn can play a vital role in creating the spark for the Love of pakistan and teach the history to the enw generations.
God Bless You Dawn!

I will say this though we as Pakistanis have lost our way in looking after the the greatest legacy that Quaide Azam gave to people of Pakisatan. Will we ever be able to come back to our objective of making Pakistan a great and strong nation. Can we not remember his words Unity, Faith and Discipline ? I hope this independence we all make a firm vow to follow his guidance and Inshaallah we will achieve our goal in making Pakistan a real Pakistan. Pakistan Zindabad.

I have read about Jinnah and presently reading a book by RAfiq Zakaria- The man who divided India. It is fascinating to know how small events in life make people take life changing decisions in life that shape nations and world. I know about him more than what the questions are asking for. His father's ostracize from the community, change of faith, Parsi girl meeting, obsession, separation and child living in America, claim over Mumbai house and so on.There is so much to know on his personal life, politics is clouded with shades(glasses) one wears (Muslim, Non-Muslim, Indian or Pakistani) and economic interest groups (Muslims in South Africa give credit to Gandhi than to Jinnah for their recognition and status). I have ethical problems with Jinnah messing up with a 16 years old girl when he was 39, but it does not take away his achievements on legal and political levels. He was like any other mortal, being at the right time, right spot and right focus that made him an historic figure

I am british historian and what ever I have learned about mr. Jinnah that he was a good man tolerant to other community but " he envisioned pakistan to be safe haven for the muslim minority of india, having freedom to obey, follow, their religion irrespective of any pressure from other. If he would have been a secularist than he would have agreed with maulana azad. Moreover, he claimed kashmir to be part of pakistan as it was and still a muslim dominated state. So, he cannt be secular from any point of view but yes ofcourse he was a gentleman.

The questions are very subjective and have multiple correct answer. Jinnah does not mean wing. The word Jinnah is the same one as it appears in Zul-Jinnah, meaning two Jinnahs. This is the horse symbolizing Imam Hussain's horse you see in in processions on 10th of Moharram.

In my view, Jinnah was secular before the demand of Pakistan. He used to swear by Indianness and living together before the demand of Pakistan. He was very impressed with the fabric of Indian society. Later on , with the influence of Nawabs of UP, Bhopal etc, he became the voice of demand of Pakistan. Similarly Md Allama Iqbal -- the write of Saare Jahan se achcha , who praised Lord Ram too , became in favor of creating Pakistan. It was totally wrong to create a nation on religion. Hindu and Muslims are living in this part of land for 1000 years. Most of the muslims adopted Islam from Hinduism. Very few (5%) can claim their Arabic/Persian/Turkish origin. Just see, that the condition of Pakistan deteriorated after Jia UL Haque when he brought the religion in the affairs of state during his dictatorship.

I scored about 66%. The quiz had some really relevant questions but very few were, in my opinion to so important to be known, for example, the brand of cigarettes he smoked.
I've went through Jinnah's biography many times but short details about those matters, I haven't read anywhere.

Although I am a Sri Lankan Muslim I have been great admirer of Mohammed Ali Jinnah. I can proudly say that I had greater respect for him rather than some Pakistanis who give only a lip service to praise him for the sake of praise him. The notable fault with the Pakistanis are they soon forget those who bring fame to that country. let it be in sport, music, social service or in nuclear field. Let see who can deny this truth?

A brave, truthful and charismatic leader. Never violated the established law and never forgot the firm stance of Muslim Pakistan. He was a great leader and was rightly named as "Quaid - e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah".

Quid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah's ideas, his achievements and his great historic contribution in leading the freedum movement against colonial arrogant Britain is still unknown to young generations of Pakistan.
This quiz was about person of Quid, we need to know more about the personality and ideals of Quid.
Pakistan today needs the principles of justice, equality and peace as enshrined by Quid.
