‘Killer robber’ lynched in Karachi

KARACHI: A mob lynched a robber after he killed a man upon resistance to a robbery bid in New Karachi on Monday night, according to police.

Two robbers on a motorcycle tried to deprive one Hafeez Haq of cash and valuables in sector 5-M of New Karachi. When Haq offered resistance, the robbers opened fire, killing him on the spot, said Bilal Colony SHO Aslam Khakhrani.

The incident infuriated the area people who caught one of the robbers and beat him to death while his accomplice fled, he said.

The deceased was identified as Gul Badshah, a resident of Jehangir Road area.
