MARDAN: Two police constables were shot dead in Shahdhand Baba area on Mardan-Swabi road near here on Sunday.
Constables Mohammad Waleed and Mohammad Zubair of Garhi Kapura police station were going to Mardan on a motorcycle when they were fired at by assailants riding a motorcycle.
The constables were injured and died while being taken to hospital.
Police cordoned off the area and mounted search for the killers.
The Counter-Terrorism Department of police has registered a case against “unidentified terrorists”.
