Imran Khan dismisses rumours that Jemima is out to 'smear' Reham

Imran Khan seems to be fighting battles on every front these days — and his love life is no exception.
The PTI Chairman Imran Khan took to Twitter today to dismiss rumours that his ex-wife Jemima is running a smear campaign against his current wife, Reham Khan.

Earlier, The Daily Mail had run a story citing an anonymous source, who said that Jemima is behind the negative stories that have recently been appearing in the media, such as the story about Reham's suspect educational degrees.
"We know what Jemima is doing," claimed the source, allegedly a cousin. "We know that she is behind this smear campaign. She doesn't want Imran's marriage to succeed because she is jealous."
The source continued: "Jemima can't get her own man, that's why she doesn't want Imran's marriage to succeed."
Even though Imran and Jemima divorced in 2004 after being married for nine years, Jemima continued to tweet her support for his political career and reportedly supported Imran's early 2015 marriage to Reham.

A few weeks ago, Reham's ex-husband Ijaz Rehman had spoken to The Daily Mail and alleged that Reham had falsely claimed to have been a victim of domestic violence. He told the paper Reham had used him “like toilet paper to clean up her image.”
This was a few days after Imran Khan's announcement that Reham wouldn't attend PTI events in the future.

He said he was "appalled & disgusted by attacks on Reham" after a PTI candidate faced defeat at the hands of PML-N leader Babar Nawaz in Haripur, and also stressed that if Reham had ever attended PTI events in the past, it was only at the insistence of PTI workers.
Whatever the case may be, there's no denying it — there have been an awful lot of rumours circulating about Reham... but we have our doubts about Jemima's role in the mudslinging!

Why can't the press & paksitani politicians leave IK alone. They all create these diversions to take attention of corrupt politicians considering IK is flying sky high in pakistani politics. I am sure IK has a genuine heart to rid of corrupt politics but the corrupt politicians in conjunction with press have nothing else to do except for throwing mud with baseless claims.

Imran Khan is a national hero and will remain as such as long as Pakistan exists. It is good of him to clear the matter. Atleast he is not like the PPP and PMLN politicians who are known for their scandals, corruption, murders etc etc. Those who criticize this honest gesture by IK must SHUT UP !

This is the worst turmoil man can go through.
We pray for ray of hope and justice, IK. May Almighty keep him strong and increase his resolve against evil forces.
So many of us are willing to devote all resources for the man who will say truth and will bring justice.
In my opinion root of every deficiency in the systems is injustice. If you go through it, you will know it. I know it.
You can not even control population explosion if there is no justice. Poeple prefer to have have more children, even if they don't have any resources because they feel protected against others aggression

Imran, Reham and Jemima are celebreties and there is nothing extra ordinary about the gossip and scandalous coverage of such people.
As long as Imran Khan can help improve the standard of life for ordinary Pakistanis, I could care less what rumors and dirt is dug up by the opponents and sensationalist media.
All three are dealing with life as best as any human being can.
Give them a break!

@Rohit Sharma --- You are thinking in Indo/Pak culture. Imran and some other politicians in PTI are educated people, and have exposure to western cultures.
Imran's matter of marriages should be left alone. He did not do anything wrong. Actually, his present marriage is ideal. Reham is Pakistani and from Pathan tribe, as Imran is. Most important, she has the right background.

The personal life of anyone should not be targeted for political gains. But then political figures blur line drawn between personal and public life. Take example of IK. He spoke loudly of his impatience to build a Naya Pakistan so that he could re-marry. His new life partner already had an exposure as public figure being a TV anchor person. Then she went high profile cheering up PTI candidates, invited for TV interviews, sworn her allegiance to husbands ideology. So is she only the wife of a high profile politician or herself a public figure?. Is she apolitical any more?

All this blame game on Jemima is not only unrealistic, it's downright shameful. Jemima has no need to put down Reham Khan, she has a great life with wonderful sons which she wouldn't jeopardize.
Most in the know are aware of where the anti-Reham tweets on social media are originating from: PML-N hacks since their social media posts constantly spew tons of negative, inflammatory posts about Reham Khan. She irks many male chauvinists due to her extremely charismatic, strong and articulate persona - unlike robotic, backward PML-N party operatives, always at the beck and call of their master.

Jemima can't stoop down to this level. Her core values being different she wouldn't hit below the belt. This assessment is based on her support for IK all along. Either someone is trying to pit both the ladies against each other or Reham's relatives or she herself can be involved in this to vindicate herself. Regardless, it is a non-issue. I personally disapprove IK's political tactics and also don't approve of Reham's statements which are hollow but frankly speaking highlighting this, even if this is a story, is something personal and should be stopped immediately.
