Totally agree - somewhere would be the head of Central Bank of China who said that this is possibly the last Yuan devaluation in his life time only to repeat his act two more times in less than a week. A clear indication of how much understanding the Chinese have of their economic situation.

Most of the fighting on the Chinese side was done by Chang Kai-shek's Nationalist forces, not by the forerunner of People's Liberation Army.

Chinese has the cutting edge tech. & latest weapons.. no doubts on that.. the only issue they have is---- Their Army/ Air Force or Navy has NOT fought even a single war in last 30-40 yrs..they don't have the experience to die & win the battles!... for that matter, I would regard Pakistan & Indian Armies as the best ones as they have that constant level of operational exposure & readyness! Even US has that constant exposure to warfare..Remember, Armies in bright color uniforms and with glitzy environment can be good for show-off but not in actual ground battles & quick wins!..

Spectacular pictures by DAWN, as usual. I saw the event on TV. The march pasts were simply awesome ! The sychronised movements of the soldiers were robotic in their perfection. This simple yet extraordinary collective discipline says much about the nation. Xi Jin Ping was just about the coolest MC's one ever saw and conducted his role with panache. The precision marching has brought China to the highest parade ground in the world. Pakistan is indeed lucky to have China as its friend !

Chiang Kai-shek was the Chinese military leader who resisted Japanese army. Chinese suffered a heavy loss but Japanese were stopped by him. From chinese point of view he was the hero of WWII (rather should have been). But the irony is that he had to pay the price for having political differences with Communist party in China. All his achievements were deliberately suppressed and, forgotten fearing it would favor the Nationalist party. Sadly this national hero who once saved China, had to spend his last days in Taiwan. And now the same Communist party wants to take credit for his work!!!
The people who cannot honor their heroes are talking about Peace and stability. We believed you China!!
