RAWALPINDI: A private security guard deployed at Allied Bank branch near Hati Chowk was gunned down by robbers when he tried to stop them from entering the bank on Friday. However, the robbers escaped from the scene empty handed.
Hammad Arshad, branch manager, told the police Allah Ditta, in his 50s, was on duty when three robbers tried to force their way into the bank branch at about 12.30pm on Friday. Police quoting the bank manager said the security guard lost his life but he foiled the robbery. Till the filing of this report, the police were unable to track down the robbers.

His family deserve to be compensated either by offering suitable appointment to next of kin or financial assistance to the bereaved family.commercial institution like ABL should make an earnest effort to set a admirable example to set the morale of its employees.

But if he had failed and was alive still. Hed have been the first to be tortured miserabily. Our police must learn to do investigative work more professionally. And we should stand upto police brutality especially when trying to coerce confessions.
