THE terrorist attack on a vital international navigation facility in Gwadar, which was unguarded, indicates a total failure of CAA and local police/levies to provide protection, resulting in loss of life and expensive equipment.

This lapse, when there is an ongoing insurgency in Balochistan, and when attacks are already taking place in much more secure places like Gwadar, is utterly inexcusable. This casual attitude needs to be investigated, and those held responsible should be penalised.

CAA installations were attacked. It was again owing to a lack of security measures. More losses in lives and materials were incurred.
