BAHAWALPUR: A 200-year-old historical cannon was installed at a crossing near the General Post Office here by Commissioner Saqib Zafar.

The cannon earlier placed in the centre of the Derawar Fort was shifted here and repaired with the permission of the family of the Abbasis who owned it.

The commissioner had issued directions to restore the cannon to its original shape.
