RAWALPINDI, Oct 18: An ISPR spokesman contradicted on Saturday a news item appearing in a section of the press quoting a National Accountability Bureau (NAB) official that there is no law in the country, which requires armed forces personnel to declare details of their assets and liabilities.
The spokesman clarified that all officers of the armed forces above grade-19 declare the details of their assets to the income tax authorities and Adjutant General‘s Branch General Headquarters every year.
The spokesman said the news had been published, quoting the NAB official, out of context.
