LAHORE: Two alleged agents of the Indian intelligence agency, RAW, were arrested at Wagah on Thursday.

Police sources said that on intelligence reports, they raided a house near the border area and arrested Ghulam Ali, alias Gulabo, and Muhammad Waqas, alias Amli. Police also recovered 30 bottles of Indian wine from them.

They said the suspects remained in jail for seven years in Pakistan for their connections with the Indian intelligence agency. They again established a strong information network and were providing secret information to RAW about the activities of the Pakistan Army and border forces. The suspects during their visits to India would stay in the RAW offices.

Both suspects are Pakistani and belong to Wagah village. Police said they were also involved in the smuggling of alcohol and other items from India. Police shifted both suspects to some undisclosed location for interrogation.
