ISLAMABAD: A six-member Pakistan squad will participate in the ninth Asian Cadet and 16th Junior Judo Championships slated to be held in Bangkok from Oct 8 to 12.
The Pakistan squad comprises Mohammad Shoaib, Nadeem Akram, Qaiser Khan, Iftikhar Ahmed, Aqsa Hussain and Wajahat Sarwar. Abdul Malik and Sajjad Kazmi will be accompanying the squad as manager and coach, respectively.
According to the Pakistan Sports Board (PSB), the federation approached it for obtaining government NOC and special grant for their players to participate in the said events.
“The PSB will provide special grant and NOC to the Pakistan Judo Federation (PJF) in order to ensure players’ participation in these events,” said PSB director general Akhtar Nawaz Ganjera.
