KASUR: Phoolnagar police arrested on Thursday a police official for raping a woman and shooting its video clips and extorting money from her.

The alleged rape victim told police that the suspect constable was the friend of her husband. Some months back, the suspect forced them to consume liquor. When her husband fell unconscious under the influence, the suspect raped her and made video clips. Later, he used the clips to blackmail her into giving him Rs300,0000 in two installments. Fed up with his continuous demand of sleeping with him, the alleged rape victim alerted the police. This annoyed the policeman who resorted to aerial firing at her house forcing her to withdraw the complaint.

On Thursday, City Phoolnagar police arrested him. He has also been suspended from the service.
