KARACHI: A bailiff on a court order raided on Friday the Kharadar police station and recovered a man apparently kept there in illegal confinement.

Abdul Sattar was found in the lock-up and released by the bailiff on a personal bond as the police only produced an outdated entry to the daily diary to justify his detention.

The bailiff also directed the station house officer and the duty officer as well as the applicant side to appear in the additional district and sessions court (south) on Saturday.
